Owen Hart: The King of Harts
Some wrestling careers are remembered through championships. Others are remembered through moments, personality and the connection a performer created with the crowd. Owen Hart left behind all of them.
For this entry in The Sovereign Vault's Holy Grail Relics collection, we imagined a one-of-one Owen Hart wrestling card built around the colors, imagery and Canadian identity associated with the King of Harts.
The result is a fictional collector's relic designed as though one extraordinary Owen Hart artifact had been sealed away inside the Vault for decades.
π The King of Harts
Owen Hart was far more than simply another member of one of professional wrestling's most famous families. He developed an identity of his own through exceptional athletic ability, technical wrestling and a personality capable of moving effortlessly between serious competition and comedy.
One of the defining achievements of his WWE career came in 1994, when Owen won the King of the Ring tournament. From there, the King of Harts persona became one of the most recognizable chapters of his career.
⚔️ Brother vs. Brother
Owen's rivalry with his older brother Bret became one of the central stories of 1994. Their conflict eventually produced a memorable steel cage match for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
What made the story particularly compelling was that the rivalry had a foundation audiences immediately understood: two extraordinarily talented brothers trying to establish their own places within the same wrestling dynasty.
π Championship Success
Owen also enjoyed considerable championship success. His tag-team partnerships became an important part of his WWE career, including championship runs alongside Yokozuna and Davey Boy Smith.
The combination of technical wrestling, speed and character work meant Owen could fit naturally into singles competition, tag-team wrestling or the larger Hart family stories that helped shape WWE during the 1990s.
π¨π¦ A Hart Family Legacy
Owen's Canadian heritage is deliberately prominent on our relic-card design. The maple leaves, pink-and-black presentation and ornate heart imagery are intended to give the card an identity that feels immediately connected to Owen while still fitting the darker museum-like style of The Sovereign Vault.
The imagined relic windows contain ring gear fabric, a boot lace and ring mat canvas. They are fictional pieces, but they help answer the question behind this entire series: what would the ultimate museum-quality wrestling card look like if no real-world limits applied?

OPEN THE WRESTLING VAULT →π Remembering Owen Hart
Owen's career ended far too soon, but wrestling fans have continued to remember the wrestler, entertainer and person behind the character.
For The Sovereign Vault, that makes him exactly the kind of figure the Holy Grail Relics collection was created to celebrate: someone whose place in wrestling history cannot be reduced to a list of victories and championships.
This card isn't intended to recreate a collectible that already exists. It imagines something that could exist only inside the Vault — a one-of-one tribute to the King of Harts.
