Auburn Tigers Halloween Helmets
Auburn Tigers Halloween helmets take one of college football's most recognizable orange-and-blue identities and send it somewhere much darker. Tigers, pumpkins, ghosts, skulls and eerie scenes from the Plains have all escaped into this opening of the Vault.
Auburn gives Halloween concept artists plenty to work with. The Tigers already bring the predator. Auburn orange practically begs to become fire or jack-o'-lantern light, while navy provides the perfect background for a Halloween night.
But these nine designs aren't simply Auburn logos pasted onto generic spooky helmets. Each takes a different piece of Auburn identity and pushes it through the haunted doors of The Sovereign Vault.
Auburn Tigers After Dark
The collection begins with an Auburn take on one of Halloween's most recognizable faces. A glowing carved-pumpkin expression consumes the shell while the interlocking AU remains unmistakably visible above it.
From there, things become considerably stranger.
One helmet looks like something dragged out of an old haunted battlefield. Another transforms the tiger into a supernatural creature crackling with blue energy. There's a battered horror-mask treatment, an elaborate sugar skull and an eerie Auburn scene beneath a moonlit Halloween sky.
Then the tiger returns in force. One design turns the animal itself into the star of the shell, while another combines Auburn imagery with a fiery nighttime landscape. The final helmet looks as though it has been wrapped up and forgotten inside the Vault for a few centuries.
Why Auburn's Colors Were Made for Halloween
Orange and navy might belong to Auburn every Saturday, but they're also almost suspiciously good Halloween colors.
Orange can become pumpkin light, fire, glowing eyes and an ominous sunset without moving far away from Auburn's normal palette. Navy can become midnight sky, shadows and supernatural blue light. That means the helmets can become dramatically darker while still looking like they belong to Auburn.
It's especially effective on the tiger designs. Orange fur and glowing eyes jump from the darker shell, allowing the mascot to become more aggressive without losing the connection to the Tigers.
Auburn Traditions Meet the Haunted Vault
Auburn football has no shortage of imagery to inspire concept designs. The tiger identity is the obvious starting point, but the atmosphere surrounding Auburn football gives us much more to play with.
The Plains, Jordan-Hare Stadium, the AU mark and Auburn's familiar orange-and-blue visual identity can all be reimagined without making the helmets unrecognizable to fans.
That's important because the goal isn't merely to create nine scary helmets. It's to create nine scary Auburn helmets.
Which Auburn Halloween Helmet Would You Wear?
Nine helmets. Nine completely different trips into the dark side of Auburn football.
The pumpkin-faced opener might be the purest Halloween design of the group, while the tiger concepts lean much harder into Auburn's identity. Fans who prefer horror have several considerably more disturbing choices in the middle of the collection.
Pick #1 through #9. Which Auburn Tigers Halloween helmet belongs under the lights at Jordan-Hare?
Somewhere behind the next door, another college football program is waiting for its turn in the Vault.
