Colorado Tradition Meets the Age of Steam
Imagine the Colorado Buffaloes charging out of a vast steam-powered foundry beneath the Rocky Mountains, where towering smokestacks, enormous brass gears, and glowing furnaces transform football tradition into industrial fantasy. In this alternate world of invention, Colorado's iconic black-and-gold identity becomes the foundation for twelve remarkable football helmets. The Classic Buffalo opens the collection with the familiar CU emblem surrounded by intricate brass mechanisms, while Buffalo Power places the mighty buffalo itself at the center of an elaborate copper-and-steel design. Flatirons Legacy celebrates the dramatic mountain landscape surrounding Boulder, and Aviator Buff introduces vintage aviation goggles, polished metal fittings, and a distinctly Victorian sense of adventure.
The collection continues with Steam Stampede, a design built around the force and spectacle of a mechanical buffalo charge. Boulder Sky combines Colorado's mountainous scenery with gleaming industrial components, while Piston Power transforms the helmet into an engine of exposed cylinders, pipes, and mechanical energy. Golden Charge presents a powerful buffalo silhouette against a richly ornamented black-and-gold shell. Clockwork Buffs showcases a spectacular arrangement of precision gears, and Aether Engine adds a glowing blue energy source to its imaginative machinery. Folsom Field pays tribute to Colorado's historic football home through detailed architectural artwork, before Go Buffs closes the series with a bold celebration of the team's unmistakable identity.
Together, these twelve designs imagine a Colorado football program powered by steam, forged in brass, and inspired by the rugged grandeur of the Rockies. Every helmet is an original concept-art interpretation, not an official or historically worn Colorado Buffaloes helmet.
