BYU Cougars Halloween Helmets
BYU Cougars Halloween helmets practically design themselves once night falls over the mountains. BYU already brings together one of college football's most recognizable blue-and-white identities, a fierce cougar mascot and the dramatic landscape surrounding Provo.
Now send all of that into the Sovereign Vault after dark.
These 9 concepts imagine BYU football in a world of moonlit mountains, supernatural cougars, frozen forests, eerie architecture and things lurking considerably higher up the mountain than any sensible hiker should be exploring on Halloween night.
BYU Blue After Dark
One of the best things about taking BYU into Halloween territory is that the school's familiar colors don't need to disappear. Blue can become lightning, moonlight, ice, spectral energy and the glow surrounding something that has wandered out of the mountains after midnight.
White works just as well. Instead of simply providing contrast, it can become snow, mist and moonlight. That allows the helmets to remain recognizably BYU while still looking completely different from anything normally running onto a football field.
Cougars Are Much Scarier After Midnight
A cougar is already a perfect starting point for Halloween helmet artwork. It doesn't require much imagination to turn one into the creature watching from beyond the tree line.
Several concepts therefore make the cougar more than a traditional mascot. It becomes part of the landscape itself — appearing from darkness, snow, rock and supernatural blue light.
Other designs lean harder into the mountains and architecture surrounding BYU, giving the collection its own identity rather than simply recycling the same Halloween imagery used for another school.
Don't just look at the entire sheet at once. Each numbered helmet is a separate concept. Some are built around the cougar, while others use mountains, storms, moonlight and darker Halloween imagery to create an entirely different version of BYU football.
Which BYU Halloween Helmet Wins?
Now comes the difficult part: choosing one.
Look through all 9 numbered designs and decide which one you'd actually send onto the field under the lights. Maybe it's one of the mountain concepts. Maybe the cougar should take center stage. Or perhaps BYU looks best when the design goes completely supernatural.
These aren't proposed official uniforms. They're unofficial fan-created concepts exploring what happens when college football identities collide with Halloween, horror and the strange things hidden inside the Sovereign Vault.
