Central Michigan Chippewas Halloween Helmets

9 haunted CMU concepts sealed inside the Vault

Central Michigan Chippewas Halloween helmets take CMU's familiar maroon and gold into a much darker corner of Mount Pleasant, where autumn forests, moonlit skies and supernatural creatures have taken over the football equipment.

This collection has a completely different personality from some of the colder blue Halloween sets we've already opened. Central Michigan's colors naturally produce something warmer and more ominous — glowing orange skies, deep maroon shadows, burning gold highlights and the feeling that something is moving between the trees.

There are 9 different Central Michigan concepts hidden below. Look closely, because every numbered helmet is intended to be its own design rather than another variation of the one beside it.

Maroon and Gold Were Made for Halloween

Central Michigan gives this series a color combination that works remarkably well once Halloween takes over. Deep maroon can become the color of an autumn night, while CMU gold transforms into firelight, moonlight and the glow surrounding the supernatural elements of the artwork.

That means the helmets can become much darker without losing their Central Michigan identity. Even when the designs wander into forests, storms and eerie landscapes, the familiar CMU palette keeps pulling them back toward the Chippewas.

Halloween Comes to Mount Pleasant

Michigan in late October gives us plenty to work with before anything supernatural even happens. Bare trees, fallen leaves, cold nights and dark woodland provide the backdrop.

Then the Vault makes things considerably stranger.

Across the collection you'll find concepts built around ominous forests, moonlit scenes, creatures, eerie buildings and dramatic landscapes. Some feel like alternate football helmets. Others look as though somebody discovered them locked in an abandoned equipment room and wisely decided not to ask where they came from.

Check the helmets individually by number. The collection moves between supernatural creatures, dark landscapes, autumn imagery and CMU-inspired elements rather than relying on one repeated Halloween design.

Which Central Michigan Halloween Helmet Wins?

Nine helmets means nine chances to completely disagree about which one should win.

Pick your favorite by number. Would you put one of the darker forest designs on the field? Go with something supernatural? Choose one that keeps more of the traditional CMU identity? Or is there a design here that you'd genuinely like to see under the lights for a late-October game?

These aren't proposed official uniforms. They're unofficial fan-created concept designs imagining what could happen when college football, Halloween and the Sovereign Vault collide.
