Charlotte 49ers Halloween Helmets
Charlotte 49ers Halloween helmets give us something this project was eventually going to need: a reason to go underground.
The 49ers identity opens the door to mines, tunnels, lanterns, gold and the unsettling question of what exactly might be waiting deeper inside the mountain. Add Charlotte green, nighttime city imagery and a few creatures that definitely weren't included on the original mining permit, and this collection quickly becomes one of the darker chambers of the Vault.
There are 9 different Charlotte concepts sealed below. Some stay close to the mining identity. Others suggest the miners may have dug considerably farther than they should have.
The 49ers Identity Was Made for a Haunted Vault
Charlotte gives us one of the best storytelling opportunities in this entire project because the 49ers identity immediately provides a setting.
Mines become haunted tunnels. Lanterns illuminate things that probably should have remained invisible. Gold becomes an eerie glow against Charlotte green, while mine entrances and railways give the helmets an industrial horror feeling that separates them from the more traditional Halloween collections.
It's less haunted house and more whatever is making that noise at the other end of the tunnel.
Charlotte Green Gets Much Darker After Midnight
The green-and-gold palette is particularly effective here. Instead of replacing Charlotte's identity with generic orange Halloween colors, the designs use dark emerald tones, aged gold, firelight and shadow.
That keeps the collection unmistakably connected to the 49ers while allowing individual helmets to move into monsters, forests, mines, trains and haunted architecture.
Even the Charlotte skyline can take on a completely different personality when it's placed behind one of these designs after dark.
Look at each numbered helmet separately. The collection moves through mines, tunnels, trains, creatures, Charlotte imagery and supernatural landscapes rather than simply repeating the same Halloween decoration nine times.
Which Charlotte Halloween Helmet Strikes Gold?
Nine helmets have made it out of the mine. Only one gets your vote.
Choose your favorite by number. Maybe you prefer one of the mining concepts. Perhaps it's the train, one of the creatures, the darker city imagery or a design that looks like something nobody was supposed to discover underground.
